3 Skincare Tips to Spring Clean Your Routine

Skincare tips for Spring

As a skinimalist, I prefer the minimum amount of products with the maximum benefit to my skin. While we are transitioning our closets, recreation, and decor to welcome warmer weather, here are 3 skincare tips to refresh your routine.

How to Spring Clean Your Skincare Routine

Skincare Tip #1 Keep Your SPF close and Your Micellar Water Closer(2:13)

Micellar water is a soap-free, rinse-free skin cleanser that you can apply with a cotton round to quickly cleanse your skin. This must-have addition to your skincare routine serves as a makeup remover to double-cleanse your face or as a stand-alone cleansing method. My favorite micellar water is Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water. It is non-drying, calming to the skin, and gentle enough to use on the eye area.

Skincare Tip #2 Cleanse with a Pulsating Brush (3:41)

A  pulsating cleansing brush to wash your face guarantees up to 75% better results. Imagine the difference between brushing your teeth with your finger or using a toothbrush. How much more effective is it to use the brush? The same illustration applies to your cleansing strategy.

Silicone or nylon bristles? (4:57)

Silicone is bacteria-resistant making it a whopping 35x more hygienic than a nylon bristle brush head. I recommend going with a brush that gently pulsates and rotates with a silicon brush head like the Petal 2 Ultrasonic Facial Cleansing Brush by Rose Skin Co.

Skincare Tip #3 Apply a Deep- Cleansing Mask Treatment 2-3 times per week (5:52)

My go-to recommendations are either a clay mask to absorb any excess oil from your pores or a charcoal mask to relieve congested pores.  I use both of these treatments regularly as part of a practice that I like to call, “multi-masking”.

What is Multi-masking? (6:21)

Multi-masking is a skincare tip that is especially helpful for people with an oily T-Zone. If the surface of the skin on your cheeks is drier, you can multi-mask by applying a charcoal or a clay mask to the T-Zone and a more hydrating formula with calming botanicals on the drier areas. Depending on your skin needs, you can use two masks on your face in different areas at the same time.

Skincare Tips for Multi-Passionate Entrepreneurs: How To Turn Your Deep-Cleansing Mask Treatment Into a Weekly Self-Care Ritual (7:43)

When you are a multi-passionate entrepreneur, you are constantly creating, producing, and coming up with new ideas. Exciting right? However, what goes up must…

Intentionally rest.

Intentional rest is the single hardest discipline for me as a multi-passionate entrepreneur. My mask treatments typically take 15-20 minutes. By doing them two to three times a week, they have become sort of a planned, forced pause– an opportunity for me to retreat to my room to allow for 15-20 minutes of intentional rest and surrender.

If you are like me and your mind is always racing with thoughts and ideas, visualization is simply the “white space” dedicated to imagining the desired outcome until it becomes the most likely outcome.

Visualization technique defined

I pre-recorded my own visualization guide to help me to develop this discipline of focused rest as an entrepreneur. If you are a “hustle-and-go” woman in business, I encourage you to integrate this practice with your deep cleansing face mask two to three times a week for 10-20 min.

I’m excited to share my personal visualization practice with you so you can take a more holistic approach to your skincare routine by integrating it with your self-care practice. Grab my free visualization guide here.
